I'm so, so proud of McKay! He trained all spring for his first 5k. We did the Super Hero run with Julie, and he smoked me! I had to leave half way through and take a short cut and run to the finish line--I knew I couldn't keep up with him and I wanted a video of him crossing.
He was screaming fast and ran the whole way.
This is him right after he puked at the finish line.
We all ran/walked to some degree, and had fun hanging out together.
Logan walked most of it with Julie, but still won third for his age group.
McKay took first in his age group and second for all kids under 12! There was an 11-year-old boy that beat him, but that's it!
So, so proud!
