Dolores!

My lovely and talented aunt/Godmother Dolores came down from Colorado to visit. Logan was beside himself with excitement. He was ecstatic to show all the new skills he has learned in the last year. We went to the Mesa Children's Museum, an art walk, had some Honduran food, went to an Asian festival, and hung out with the boys. Logan keeps asking when she is coming back, but hopefully we will be in Colorado next to see her! It was so great to have her here.

Logan is starting to get serious about giving up his nap, he usually sleeps just one or two days a week. This is a sad, sad development. We have been having quiet time, and he has been helping to make dinner--which he loves. He has been loving the nice weather and playing outside, he wants to ride his tricycle all day long (especially if McKay will consent to ride along). My favorite new thing he does is when you ask him if he wants something, he will say in this very business like tone "That would be great."

McKay is on a growth spurt, I can definitely tell the difference when I pick him up. He is on a speaking frenzy, and can say McKay and Logan and pretty much whatever you ask him to. I defy anyone to be able to say 'no' to him when he holds your cheeks and says "fruit snackths peas mommy?" The lisp is adorable.

I ran 3.1 miles this weekend! It was on the treadmill, but still, I was excited. Stacy (my sister) and I made a New Year's Resolution to run a 5k this year, so I am well on the way. We are running a 2 mile race in Prescott this weekend. I'll post pictures as proof!

Manly man

Just a few pics of Loren's successful fishing trip with his Dad. Anyone need some catfish?

Easter pics

Easter!

On Friday we went to the park with some friends from church and had a cascarones (eggs filled with confetti that you hit over people's head) hunt. Great idea, except for Logan's huge fit. He did not understand why kids were hitting him and then breaking his eggs! Poor guy! McKay just wanted to be held the whole time. Once Logan settled down they enjoyed their time with their friends. Thanks for the fun time, Lisa (sorry about the freak-out)!

I took the boys to see the Easter Bunny and decorate cookies. Neither child was too impressed with the big bunny, but Logan had a cookie with a frosting tower, so he was happy.

Saturday Loren's Mom and Dad came up to play, and we took Logan on his first fishing trip. He "caught" a fish! It was awesome! He also got to drive the boat, and picked up a discarded floating toy. That evening we made gyros by roasting lamb on the grill. We also went to Michael's and made free Easter buckets, the boys loved it.

Sunday we got to watch conference with Ray, Sharon and Alice. We also had an Easter egg hunt and had Easter baskets. Some Easter dinner with everyone capped off a great weekend. (Then on Monday my sister Stacy brought me two Cadbury eggs--making Easter complete!)
